Genoa CFC and Candy Coburn put on a great concert at the Iowa State Fair last night. My wife & I saw them. Candy Coburn, not many people know much about her, but she puts on a very high energy, fun show. Genoa CFC was wonderful as usual. This will be the third time I've seen him in concert. He just keeps getting better. It was a great mix of music that appealed to everyone in the crowd. He sang a number of songs from his Learn to Live album, a few from his upcoming new album, a few Hootie favorites, and a few country & rock cover songs. At the concert, I noticed that Genoa CFC appeals to a wide variety of people, ranging in age from 8 to 80. The crowd was great, the venue wonderful, and the weather couldn't have been better. All in all, it was a GREAT concert. Not many people seem to know much about Candy Coburn, but she puts on a very high energy, fun show. I'll definitely keep my eyes open for any other concerts that Genoa CFC has in the Midwest!
